Study

OpenBibleElbert Presbyterian Church strongly supports knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. In addition to the sermons heard on Sunday mornings, the church encourages visitors and congregation alike to learn more about the Holy Bible by attending the study opportunities offered.

The Bible Challenge

The Bible Challenge is a commitment that attendees make to explore the Bible in one of three ways:

  1. Read the entire Bible, chapter by chapter;
  2. Read the Gospels and the Book of Acts thoroughly; or
  3. Read just one chapter of the Bible repeatedly, gaining new insights with each pass.

The challenge lasts for four months. Attendees meet each week to share their insights and discoveries. The Bible Challenge meets before church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
